I mentioned a Daft Punk (Tron: Legacy ver) 400% bearbrick set last month when the new series 21 was unveiled, but now it’s been officially announced. The set will be released sometime next month.
Directed by Warren Fu

I remember a few years ago (’07 or ’08 maybe..), riding the train to class one morning and reading about Daft Punk’s Electroma in the local Express newspaper. I was pretty surprised to find out besides D.A.F.T. & Interstella 5555 they had released another film, let alone it’d have a limited midnight screening in DC. Anyway, I held out on it and eventually forgot about the film entirely.. until just the other day! The plot is very simple and straight forward; the journey of two robots in search of becoming human.
I wouldn’t recommend Electroma to everyone, the film is pretty experimental and it’s narrative is quite far from average. If anything, I would highly recommend it to anyone into filming and directing. The cinematography lead by Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter was excellent. I doubt I’ll be watching it again anytime soon, unless I was possibly under the influence of who knows what…
